INTERVIEW #2: FOREST

forest-trust

Hello Forest, and thank you for interviewing with us today.

My pleasure. It’s always nice to get out of my office and hear the concerns of my people.

People like…Patricians? Or Proletariats?

*polite smile* Both, of course. We are all one people, yes? There is no division.

Maybe not one that you’re aware of.

Silence. Looks at hands. Furrows brows.

Um. Okay. What are you most afraid of?

Uncertainty. I like to know what’s going on at all times. I like the steady rhythm of the norm.

Is that why you want to keep things in the government running like they are?

Not necessarily. Changes do need to be made. But if change is made too quickly, anarchy can and will follow. Lives will be lost. A plan needs to be made and slowly executed. What…certain people are planning will only bring more chaos than order.

Interesting theory. Let’s talk a bit about Ember, what is your relationship with her?

Miss Ember and I met under strange conditions.

Interesting. How so?

Let’s just say our meeting was very… fated. Ember has a spark that I rarely see in anyone anymore. I admire her for it. *frowns* But I also fear for her.

Why’s that?

She says some things that could get her into some serious trouble.

Would you ever turn her in for some of the things she says?

*Polite smile back* Thankfully it hasn’t come to that.

Okay then. Thank you, Forest, for taking time out of your busy schedule to interview with me today.

The pleasure is all mine.
